If you’re
like me, you’ve spent a little too much time watching those home renovation
shows. And if you’ve spent that time watching them, then you’ve spent that time
day dreaming about remodeling your own bathroom. Don’t worry, we’ve all been
there. I can vouch for it. Well, believe it or not remodeling your bathroom may
not be a bad idea. In fact, it could be just what your bathroom needs to make
it fascinating!
Should you
finally take the plunge and remodel your bathroom? The answer is Yes. Your
towels look dingy, and no it doesn’t matter that you’ve washed them twice. You
need new ones. You’ve had the same toothbrush holder since you first moved into
the place… 4 years ago. Buy yourself a new one. Once upon a time, your bathroom
used to be white. But now, it looks between cream and yellow. The longer you
look at it, the more confused you get by what color it used to be. And who
doesn’t want an overly soft rug that feels like magic on your feet when you get
out of the shower. We all want that. We’d be lying if we said we didn’t.
So I’m here
to tell you… remodel your bathroom!
You can go
BIG. Did you watch House Hunters Renovation, and see a bathroom that you would
be proud to copy in your own home? Me too, last night for instance. Are you in
the position to be able to do a bathroom renovation? If the answer is yes, then
I say GO BIG.
Get that big
jetted tub and separate waterfall shower that you’ve imagined in your
daydreams. The daydream where you have your own grand bathroom in your own
mansion. You don’t have to be living in the mansion just yet in order to
remodel. You’d be surprised just how close you could get your renovated
bathroom to your dream one, within your budget! What I’m saying is, there are
many options. So why not take the plunge!
Or, you can
go small. Go to your local hardware store and pick out a new paint color. Then
go home, and paint your heart out. Paint away the years or dirt and dinginess
and make your space look new again. You’ll be surprised just how much of a
change a new coat of paint can do.
Now the fun
part begins, decorating! Throw out those old towels, stained toothbrush holder,
and that worn out rug. Start fresh with some new art for your walls, some
bathroom rugs that are sure to make your feet happy, and a toothbrush holder
and soap dispenser that will go with your rug perfectly. Then, to top it all
off, grab a candle or two to give it a little ambiance.
Once you’ve
remodeled your bathroom, I encourage you to stand in the doorway and look at
your finished product. If you feel it’s a space of peace and tranquility, I’d
say you succeeded in making your bathroom fascinating!
